Old Mill Toronto's West End
Luxury Neighbourhood

Located north of Bloor Street West, east of where the Kingsway begins, west of Jane Street going up to about Harshaw Avenue you have the delightful pocket known as Old Mill. This scenic area boasts the Etienne Brule park that is cut by the Humber river. Tennis courts lie across from the parkette and as you cross the reconstructed Old Mill bridge you reach the entrance to Kings Mill Park. Just a few paces west you will reach the famed Old Mill Restaurant and Spa facility. It's like country in the city. Few neighbourhoods can boast such scenery. Even Rosedale cannot pretend to have jumping salmon in a nearby river in addition to the rest of the wildlife! Residents like those of neighbouring Swansea to the south share access to the ever busy South Kingsway as well as two subway stations, The Old Mill and Jane subway.
As far as housing stock goes, commonly you'll find detached 2 storey tudor-style homes as you would in Swansea with either mutual or private drives (mostly private). Older but well maintained rental buildings dot the landscape next to the Old Mill Subway as do several other condos namely The Kensington at Old Mill, 10 & 12 Old Mill Trail and the Terraces of Old Mill, 2662 Bloor West Street. Diagonally across from The Old Mill Restaurant you'll also find the stunning Riverstone at 40 and 50 Old Mill Road, a true boutique complex. In addition you have The Brule located at 2511 Bloor Street West. It's apparent that this deluxe enclave boasts worthy condo stock as well as character homes.

While living in this area, you're still in walking distance to Bloor West Village and all it's ammenities. Coming soon to the area is a new crop of additional upmarket condos from Tridel...remember the Old Mill dealership and the lot further west with used cars? The first one (One Old Mill Condominium, the floor plans and siteplan for the One Old Mill Toronto luxury condo development are all available online at www.tridel.com/oldmill) is going up between Riverview Gardens and Old Mill Drive. Occupancy is 2014. As well, Two Old Mill Condominium is in the works just west of Old Mill Drive. The plans look pretty stylish, so no worries about any inappropriate attrocities of the building kind. A second grand condo is being built directly across from the Old Mill Restaurant, no long travel time for Sunday brunch there (Riverhouse at The Old Mill, www.riverhousecondos.ca)
